The Cardinals are finalizing a trade that would send Jacoby Brissett to the Ravens

Arizona rallied from 17-3 to beat Dallas 33-30 in overtime

If you bleed cardinal red, here's the quarterback news: Arizona is finalizing a trade that would send Jacoby Brissett to the Baltimore Ravens, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Wednesday. What the Cardinals get back hasn't been reported, and the deal is expected to be completed this weekend. Schefter wrote that Brissett is expected to debut in Week 10 on Monday Night Football against the Chargers.

Brissett was benched in the third quarter Sunday in Dallas. Trailing 17-3, Arizona turned to Gardner Minshew, who led a 33-30 overtime comeback. Coach Mike LaFleur then named Minshew the starter and promoted rookie Carson Beck to backup, demoting Brissett to third string.

  • Brissett's age: 33
  • Career record as a starter: 23-50
  • 2026 deal: reworked, $15.5 million

The Ravens need quarterback depth after losing Lamar Jackson to a thumb injury and Tyler Huntley to a toe injury.

Maricopa County is still counting late mail ballots, and supervisors approved e-bike rules

If you dropped your mail ballot off on Election Day, it's still being processed. Board of Supervisors Chair Kate Brophy McGee said Wednesday the recorder's office is verifying signatures on early ballots dropped off, while the board's elections staff tabulates votes. She called mail ballots returned on Election Day "the big unknown" and gave no firm date for finishing the count. She also called Tuesday's voting "absolutely flawless."

Separately, supervisors unanimously approved an e-bike ordinance Wednesday for of the county. Officials said it's meant to improve safety amid an increase in e-bike accidents, and the classes mirror Arizona law.
