- ➤ Glendale, the Phoenix Suns and Mercury Foundation dedicated the Al McCoy Memorial Park and SHAZAM! Court near North 51st and West Olive Avenues to honor the longtime Suns broadcaster. The park features a new playground, improved irrigation, LED lighting and an upgraded sand volleyball court — a tribute that brought together McCoy’s family and local groups — and is set to serve the community for years to come. - ➤ Former Glendale High baseball players and coaches, mostly graduating in 1977 with a few from 1976, meet twice a year in a local garage to celebrate their shared school spirit.
