- ➤ ASU West Valley campus is hosting Winter Wonderland, a free three-night holiday festival at 4701 W Thunderbird Road featuring holiday lights, live music, artisan vendors, food trucks, and craft stations from today through Saturday. - ➤ Walmart acquired a 1.28 million sqft building near Luke Air Force Base for $152,161,730 when the deal closed the day before Thanksgiving — it will occupy Building C at the new Luke Field logistics park developed by Lincoln Property Company. ABC 15
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Arizona Board of Regents launched the College Ready AZ FAFSA Scholarship to award 25 high school seniors a $2,000 one-time scholarship plus a congratulatory letter if they plan to attend public colleges and complete the required 2026-27 FAFSA. - ➤ Following the Nov. 25 workshop, the council tabled the proposed art wall for the new City Hall after four of five members rejected the design by Cliff Garten Studio (from Venice) over concerns about its style and cost; no alternative plan has been announced. Glendale Independent
