- ➤ Brooks Maschemeier from Yoga Cold Bath donated nearly $10,000 to pay off student lunch debt at three DVUSD schools and later matched community fundraiser donations with about $60,000. His contributions set record amounts for Stetson Hills, O’Connor and Mountain Ridge High Schools—showing his strong support for local education. The Glendale Star
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Daniella Luna was born on Nov. 16 at Abrazo Arrowhead Campus; her mother, Abby Luna—a registered nurse, chose the CertaScan Infant Safety System to capture high-resolution digital footprints that help keep newborns safe and create a special keepsake. The system, used in more than 160 hospitals, provides secure records for newborn identification. Glendale Independent
- ➤ Aaliyah James, a 17-year-old, left Phoenix Children's Hospital on Thursday after being treated for E. coli from the state fair—her kidneys still are weak. Health officials say nearly 200 people have gotten sick and are checking if the illness came from animal contact at the fair. The Glendale Star
