- ➤ Wesley Dewitt, a bus driver at Deer Valley Unified since 2016, won top honors in the 2023 Arizona bus safety challenge while driving routes that carry between 50 and 80 students daily—earning statewide praise for his skill. The district used 174 buses on 108 routes and drove 2 million miles during 2024—25. Glendale Independent
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ The Arizona Cardinals nearly won but lost 27-24 in overtime to the Jaguars after tying the game with a final field goal (29-yard kick) before turning the ball over on downs. Coach Jonathan Gannon said the team must learn to finish drives as these turnovers cost them a win. Glendale Independent
