Good morning, Glendale.

Voters in Deer Valley Unified School District approved a 15% maintenance and operations override to increase school funding, reversing two recent Novembers when the measure lost by 55-45 and 53-47.

The district, which had faced staff cuts, hosted summer programming at Legend Springs Elementary on July 17 — a move that highlighted a clear shift in voter support.

Kristi's Klimbers Foundation received a $15,000 grant from Arizona Financial Credit Union on November 5 (one of 18 nonprofits honored at the Local Causes Grant Ceremony), and the funds helped expand its free 3D mammogram program for uninsured women in underserved communities.
