- ➤ James Avery Jewelry will host its 'Giving from the Heart' event at Arrowhead Towne Center in Glendale on Thursday, Nov. 13th from 5 to 8 p.m.—30% of proceeds will go to Gompers, a local group that helps individuals with disabilities secure jobs, in-home, and training services. - ➤ Cox Communications partnered with the Larry Fitzgerald Foundation and Phoenix Raceway Charities to host Beyond the Finish Line—a STEM event for eighth graders from Luke Elementary at Phoenix Raceway in Glendale. Each student received a laptop and got the chance to meet Larry Fitzgerald to boost their academic opportunities. The Glendale Star
- ➤ Maricopa County Elections updated the vote results from the Deer Valley Unified School District ballot on keeping its maintenance and operations budget override, showing that the 'yes' side led with 50.98% to 49.02%. The update revealed a narrow margin of 799 votes (20,740 yes and 19,941 no) from over 41,000 ballots cast, leaving the final outcome too close to call. Glendale Independent
