- ➤ Glendale’s WaFd Bank partnered with LifeologyAZ Inc. for the ‘Hygiene and Hoodies’ drive, collecting 30 hoodies and 50 hygiene bags with essential items to support homeless teens+ Donations for winter gear and gently used books can be dropped off at the WaFd Bank branch on 6895 W. - ➤ Sun Canyon Bank donated funds to Sun Valley Animal Shelter to help care for dogs and cats amid financial challenges—volunteers say the donation supports the shelter’s nurturing environment and efforts to place pets in carefully matched forever homes. Glendale Independent

- ➤ Babbo Italian Eatery expanded its original Arrowhead restaurant in Glendale—originally a 22-seat, bring-your-own-bottle eatery opened in 2002—to a 5,000-square-foot venue with a private dining room, expanded bar, wine wall and new To-Go Market. The restaurant had a soft opening on Oct.22 and will hold a grand opening on Nov.13 in support of Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month. Glendale Independent

- ➤ The Mangat Group announced on Oct. 27 that it will build MG Business Park on an 8.5-acre site at the corner of Glendale Avenue and New River Road—this project will include 36 industrial condo units designed for small and midsize businesses with modern amenities and flexible ownership options.
