GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Oct. 6, Mayor Jerry P. Weiers and the City Council visited the Glendale Family Advocacy Center and proclaimed October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. He emphasized that one in six homicide victims and nearly half of female homicide victims were killed by a current or former partner — urging community partners and public safety personnel to work together to support survivors. - ➤ Abrazo Arrowhead Campus has restarted its pet therapy program after a COVID-19 pause, with volunteer teams including Raymond Mushier and his dog Cowboy (a 3-year-old rescue poodle) bringing comfort to patients, visitors, and staff.
