  • Glendale will host a photo and autograph session with the Oklahoma Wildcatters tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. at Men's Health Arrowhead Ranch on North 79th Avenue - free food, drinks, and a chance to win two free tickets will be offered at the event.  Glendale Independent

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Several Glendale businesses made changes recently—The Grove Family Dental opened a new office at 17215 N. 72nd Drive and Arizona Animal Dentistry held a grand opening at 9494 W. Northern Ave on Sept. 4. Tre Bicchieri celebrated a ribbon cutting on Sept. 4, Kendra Scott opened a store at Arrowhead Towne Center on Sept. 26, and Panera Bread with Gravity Coffee closed their locations.  Glendale Independent
  • Local residents can test drive BMW vehicles during a Pop Up Ride — Drive Experience at Arrowhead Towne Center on October 12 from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., offering an exclusive chance to experience the dynamic lineup firsthand.  Glendale Independent

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Peoria Unified is inviting alumni and community members to join homecoming celebrations at its seven high schools throughout October. The events will include parades, football games and alumni recognition, with games scheduled at Raymond S. Kellis in Glendale on Oct. 10 and at Cactus High in Glendale on Oct. 17 (other campuses will hold similar festivities).  Glendale Independent

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Glendale narrowed its search for a new city manager to current Assistant City Manager Vicki Rios and Gilbert Town Manager Patrick Banger—Glendale will hold a two-day interactive process in early October that includes a council panel interview, while Kevin Phelps remains until January. The selection aims to continue the progress made under Phelps’ nearly 10-year tenure.  The Glendale Star

  • Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray missed practice on Wednesday after suffering a foot injury during Sunday's 22-21 loss to the Tennessee Titans—coach Jonathan Gannon said he would monitor his recovery closely as the team prepares for the upcoming game against the Indianapolis Colts.  Glendale Independent
  • Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon had an emotional moment during a 22-21 loss last Sunday when he forcefully confronted running back Emari Demercado—an act that shifted the outcome of the game.
