On Sunday, the San Francisco 49ers opened scoring against the Cardinals with a hook-and-ladder play that turned a third-and-12 into an 82-yard touchdown -- the play credited Brock Purdy for the pass and unusual stats to Mike Evans and Deebo Samuel.

Glendale will fund seven major sports events through a three-year partnership with TKO Group Holdings (which covers UFC fights, WWE matches, bull riding, and boxing competitions) using hotel tax dollars to boost local economic activity.

The events will be held at State Farm Stadium and Desert Diamond Arena.
