- ➤ Copper State Credit Union promoted Tiffany Tafoya, Elizabeth Krigbaum, and Christina Lamar to key executive leadership roles—showing its strong support for internal talent. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Glendale City Council approved a 25-year deal on Sept 9 to sell VAI Resort up to 50 acre feet of treated water storage credits per year at $550 per acre foot & expected to generate $32 million annually, with the council reserving the right to adjust the rate if drought conditions worsen. Council members from the Cactus district expressed concerns about water scarcity and rising rates, and the resort will build its own well to recover the credits. The Glendale Star
- ➤ On Nov. 4, Glendale will ask voters to decide on two ballot questions—one for funding flood control and water retention projects and one for upgrading outdated city facilities to improve safety. A yes vote will let the community invest in modernizing infrastructure with existing tax dollars. Glendale Independent

- ➤ Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride will sign autographs at Lifted Trucks in Glendale on Saturday, Sept. 27 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., and local food trucks will serve signature dishes — one fan will win a jersey raffle at this free event. Glendale Independent
