Volunteers packed meals at State Farm Stadium on Sept.
11 for the national 9/11 Day event, where Dress For Success Arizona CEO Tamala McBath reflected on 25 years since her 9/11 experience. The event was one of 50 nationwide efforts expected to deliver 17 million meals to people in need.

Acting U.S. Labor Secretary Keith Sonderling visited Glendale-based Western Maricopa Education Center (West-MEC) on Sept.
2 to review career and technical education programs that prepare students for work. He joined a roundtable with education, industry and community leaders from Maricopa County.

Glendale City Council approved a three-year sponsorship agreement with TKO Group Holdings on Sept.
8 to bring a portfolio of UFC, WWE, PBR, and Zuffa Boxing events to the city (expected to boost sports tourism and drive economic growth).

West Valley preps football teams played on Sept.
11 (with one game on Sept. 10) as scores were posted for week 3 matchups. Notable wins by O'Connor, Liberty, and Centennial set the stage for teams to advance their season.
