Good morning, Glendale. Here's your local news at a glance for Friday, the 29th of August.

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Glendale is studying ways to manage its growing peafowl population that has caused thousands of dollars in property damage near parks and libraries. City staff said the birds, now numbering about 130 to 160 and expected to reach 300 by fall, will be examined through humane removal efforts—such as collaborations with Texas A&M and a California firm—to cut long-term cleaning costs.  The Glendale Star
