- ➤ A 13-year-old Mountain Ridge student was hit by a pickup truck on Aug. 1 while riding his bike in a crosswalk (near 67th Ave and Hillcrest Blvd) and is in critical condition at a local hospital; officials report the driver stayed at the scene and was not impaired. The Glendale Star

- ➤ Tricia Medina launched the Toasted Mallow dessert trailer to bring unique marshmallow treats to events around Arizona.
