A Consumer Affairs study released Tuesday ranked Glendale as the eighth most dangerous U.S. city for both pedestrians and cyclists using 2023 data—placing it with other Arizona cities like Tucson, where cyclist fatalities were over four times the national average.

On July 25 just before 10 p.m., Glendale Police responded to a collision on the 6900 block of Bethany Home Road where a moped rider—an adult male not wearing a helmet—sustained life-threatening injuries and remains in critical condition after the vehicle fled the scene.
