- ➤ Two women were hospitalized in critical condition after an SUV crashed into the Fresenius Kidney Care Glendale Town Center dialysis facility at 7 a.m. Saturday near 43rd and Peoria in Glendale — first responders were on the scene while the driver remained at the scene with no sign of impairment. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Four students from Peoria Unified School District earned college-sponsored merit scholarships from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation that will give them between $500 and $2,000 a year for up to four years of college study. The winners are Sasha Tijore and Daniel Wirt of Ironwood High School, Tammy Le of Sunrise Mountain High School and Gunnar Sammons of Centennial High School — all of whom entered the program in 2023.
