Good morning, Glendale.

Traffic is expected to be heavy today as tens of thousands of fans head to Post Malone’s concert at State Farm Stadium, with parking opening at 3:30 p.m. City traffic engineer Tony Abbo advised visitors to arrive early at Westgate and follow posted signs—especially watching for pedestrians—to ease delays.

Glendale City Council received an update on water supplies at a June 10 workshop and learned that residents will not see reduced Colorado River deliveries this year despite a Tier 1 drought, while next year is expected to face similar conditions.

The city will boost groundwater use and rely on its water credits and long-term plans, and it offered rebates for watering-saving changes (such as landscaping switches) as it monitors the drought stage.
