- ➤ The Pat Tillman Foundation announced it completed over 22,000 volunteer service hours with 1,793 volunteers participating in more than 170 projects that supported park cleanups, food banks, and veteran aid—efforts that honored Pat Tillman’s legacy. The campaign, supported by NFL Salute to Service and partners including the Chicago Bears and the Arizona Cardinals, reached its goal on May 28. Glendale Independent

- ➤ A man was hit by a tow truck in Westgate after crossing mid-block on Glendale Avenue near 93rd Avenue (at 1 a.m. on Wednesday) and was taken to a hospital with serious injuries while the truck driver remained at the scene. AZ Family

- ➤ OrthoArizona is set to open a new MRI center in North Scottsdale in June — just a half-mile from its Pima Center as part of a plan to add five clinics across the Valley. The expansion will include new facilities in Buckeye, Glendale, and San Tan Valley, with a Chandler site scheduled for 2027 while over $11 million is invested in modernizing existing clinics. - ➤ Glendale voters split on changes for VAI Resort when 50.9% voted against converting a 10-acre park area into a parking lot for the resort’s headquarters while 50.94% voted to change zoning rules for road modifications and water system updates at Westgate Entertainment Complex. The mail-in election saw 27,608 ballots cast—22.28% turnout—and VAI Resort CEO Grant Fisher said the decision will help bring new jobs and tax revenue to the city. The Glendale Star
