- ➤ Legacy Traditional Schools recently named John Saavedra as the 2025-26 Arizona Teacher of the Year for his innovative classroom and mentorship programs at the Glendale campus. The award recognizes his work with a student TED Talk + a writing mentor program. Glendale Independent
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ At Mesa Community College, Mountain Ridge athletes shined at the Open Track and Field Championships on May 15-16. Senior Sanel Eminovic won the 300 hurdles and placed second in the 110 hurdles (adding to a strong performance) as the team showcased its skills against top competitors. Glendale Independent
