- ➤ Former NFL defensive lineman Josh Mauro died on April 23 from accidental fentanyl, cocaine and ethanol intoxication, officials said, marking the end of an eight-season career that included seasons with the Cardinals and Giants. KTAR

- ➤ Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs ordered flags on state buildings to be lowered at half-staff on Friday to honor National Peace Officers Memorial Day. Residents, businesses and organizations were encouraged to join the tribute. KTAR
- ➤ ADOT announced that several Valley freeways including I-10, SR 51, Loop 101, Loop 202 and Loop 303 will be closed or narrowed over the weekend for pavement work. Drivers should plan ahead + allow extra travel time. AZ Family
