Good morning, Glendale.

The Glendale Police Department will add moving radar systems to patrol cars after City Council approved a $600,000 plan.

City Manager Kevin Phelps proposed the idea after former Police Chief Chris Briggs retired — the new system will warn officers when cars go too fast and help keep roads safer.

The Governor’s Office of Highway Safety will work with the Peoria Police Department and other agencies to enforce seat belt and child safety seat laws from May 19 through June 1 as part of the Click It or Ticket campaign designed to reduce injuries on local roads—this high-visibility program uses a zero-tolerance approach to improve safety.
