Good morning, Glendale.

Glendale planners approved a move for a veterinary hospital that will offer only emergency services into an unused side of a building on the Arrowhead Towne Center circle, improving local pet care.

The planning decision (approved May 2nd) means the facility will start offering services soon.

Officers from 50 agencies will patrol highways during Cinco De Mayo weekend from today to Monday, May 5 to remove impaired drivers—last year the taskforce made 323 DUI arrests statewide.

Glendale City Council approved zoning at a 39-acre site on the west side of Loop 101 for multifamily housing, retail and hotels.

Worker Power — a California labor group linked to UniteHere — opposes the plan and is forcing a special election that urges voters to support Props 401 and 402 to keep development moving forward.

Glendale Police Department will add moving radar detection to each of its 150 patrol cars by the end of summer after the city council approved a $600,000 plan on Monday.
