- ➤ Eight fallen Arizona firefighters are among those to be honored at the 44th National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend in Emmitsburg, Maryland this weekend—public events include a Candlelight service at 4:30 p.m. Saturday and a Memorial service at 7 a.m. Sunday—which will recognize 140 firefighters in total. - ➤ Visit Glendale will host Experience Glendale Day at Andretti Indoor Karting and Games on May 1 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 6263 N 99th Ave, where Arizona-themed activities, celebrity and athlete meet-and-greets, influencer appearances, raffle prizes and a drone light show will highlight the celebration and include free pickleball at Chicken N Pickle from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Glendale Independent
