Stage Left Productions' homeschool troupe will perform The Almost Totally True Story of Hansel & Gretel in May at 5930 W.
Greenway Road, Suite 1A in Glendale with shows on May 8-10 at 7 p.m. and on May 10 at 2 p.m.—tickets cost $16 with reserved seating at the box office and Cody Dulland Erin Boston directs the play.
🏛️ Government
The Glendale City Council approved rezoning of a 39-acre site just across I-10 from State Farm Stadium on Tuesday for the Envision Encore project—proposing high-density multifamily housing, commercial spaces and potentially hotels.
The city has not yet selected a developer while the property owner is Porter Fields LLC from Yuma.
Glendale voters will decide on rezoning a 10-acre site on 95th Ave so VAI Resort can build corporate offices and a parking structure, with propositions 401 and 402 on the ballot.
City officials say the plan is expected to add $2 million in new tax revenue and create many new jobs + some local residents worry the area’s other needs might be overlooked.

Tim Beck, the celebrated coach of Ironwood soccer, retired after years of planning.
He had planned to step down following the team's 5A state title win in 2024—his decision marks the end of a long career.
