- ➤ Arizona wildlife officials advise Glendale residents today to leave baby animals alone because a nearby parent is usually caring for them — handling them may force the parent to flee and lead to the animal being unable to be released back into the wild. KTAR

- ➤ Glendale Fire Department is hosting a free water safety workshop at Glendale Community College Student Union, 6000 W. Olive Ave, from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 26 to teach life-saving water skills. Experts will perform a mock drowning and explain why adults must supervise children, use fences, and wear life jackets—measures that can help prevent accidents during the summer. Glendale Independent
- ➤ Glendale held its annual Public Safety Appreciation Day on April 9 at Babbo Italian Eatery to honor fire and police personnel with 340 free meals and community thanks.
