- ➤ Retired pilot Mike Tragarz landed a 1946 amphibious plane safely on a Phoenix roadway on Sunday after losing engine power while on a sightseeing flight starting at Hangar Hacienda Airport near Glendale. The incident led to a temporary closure of Seventh Street (with no injuries to the three on board). KTAR

- ➤ West Wind Drive-In will host a free movie night on Thursday, April 23 (5650 N. 55th Ave) after a successful event in September 2025. Gates open at 6 p.m. and movies begin at 8 p.m. Glendale Independent
- ➤ Glendale native Marty Robbins recorded his signature song 67 years ago (this month) while driving home for Christmas from Nashville to Arizona. Born on Sept. 26, 1925, he later became a country music legend with timeless hits. Glendale Independent
