Good morning, Glendale.

Glendale residents posted on Nextdoor about local school changes, discussing a superintendent’s resignation at Deer Valley Unified and the closure of two Peoria schools while raising concerns about overcrowded classrooms and grade shifts.

The comments reflect a community debating the future of local education.

State officials said southbound SR 51, between Glendale Avenue and Indian School Road, is closed for asphalt removal until 5 a.m. Monday – drivers should plan for extra cross-street restrictions in the Valley.

Head coach Kevin Guy said the Rattlers will start the 2026 season with a near completely revamped roster to boost discipline after last year's struggles.

Earlier this month, quarterback Max Meylor practiced with his new team in Glendale (March 17).
