- ➤ A study released Tuesday ranked three East Valley communities among the country's 25 hardest-working cities, with Chandler, Gilbert, and Scottsdale holding 19th, 21st, and 25th spots. The report measured work hours (employment rates and commute times) to compare the cities. KTAR

- ➤ The Glendale City Council approved annexing two parcels for industrial development on Feb. 24. The action adds over 48 acres, including a 39-acre site at the southwest corner of Peoria and Sarival avenues (zoned from rural residence to planned development) to support future industrial growth.
