- ➤ iSmash Glendale, an interactive entertainment venue with rage rooms, splatter paint experiences and axe throwing lanes, will open Friday, Jan. 10 at Bell Tower Village on the border of Glendale and Phoenix. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Glendale City Council adopted a new ordinance in December that sets minimum ages and safety equipment rules for electric bikes and scooters. The rules take effect Thursday, and police will begin enforcement with fines starting at $50 — increasing to $500 for repeat violations. KTAR
- ➤ Drivers should expect heavy traffic on westbound I-10 and Loop 101 on Thursday afternoon before the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl at State Farm Stadium, with parking lots opening at 11 a.m. for the 5:30 p.m. kickoff; travelers in the Southeast Valley are advised to use Loop 202 (to bypass downtown delays).
