The Story Behind the Celebration Beaujolais Nouveau is more than just a wine; it is a beloved global tradition. Born in the post-WWII era, French law strictly decreed that these vibrant, fresh-off-the-vine Gamay wines could not be sold until a specific date. This rule sparked the legendary, high-stakes "Great Race from Beaujolais"—a mad dash where winemakers, distributors, and enthusiasts competed to see who could deliver the very first bottles from the vineyards of France to restaurants and pubs worldwide. Today, that competitive race has evolved into a global celebration, making it the world's most famous "instant" wine party. We’re thrilled to bring a taste of that historic French energy to our table tonight.
